Welcome to the Write It Out Wellness Activity Support Group. This therapeutic wellness support group is an expressive outlet for those who enjoy writing, poetry, and journaling. This expert-led group is a safe space for all to come; share, learn, connect, and grow.
In this group, we will discuss:
- Creative writing styles
- The emotions of writing
- The therapeutic benefits of writing/journaling
- Share expressive writings/poems
- The importance of maintaining our wellness
Hi, I'm Jessica. I'm a certified peer specialist for mental health, mental health professional, and psychology major presently pursuing my degree to become a therapist. I am an accredited facilitator with experience in facilitating for several mental health organizations. I enjoy utilizing journaling and expressive writing as a therapeutic tools.
Community Guidelines
This group is a safe space for all members. By joining this group, you agree to the following: Treat other members with respect and civility (including those you disagree with). There will be no tolerance for no personal remarks, bullying, flaming, racism, sexism, criticism, or homophobic comments in the group or sessions. No abusive or offensive language. Notify the Support Group Leader or Mental Happy if another member is harassing you or other members. Members must have cameras during group sessions; taking pictures or recording is prohibited. Members have one chance. The person will be removed from the group if they violate the rules. Use *Trigger Warning* at the beginning of posts that may be upsetting or harmful for other members to read. Pro-tip: if you think the post might be triggering, it probably is! Tag the Support Group Leader on peer message threads needing expert guidance to ensure members get the appropriate advice. If you have any queries or doubts, ask questions and be active. We are here for you. If a member intentionally violates the above rules, they will first receive a warning. Repeated violations will result in membership termination at the discretion of the Support Group Leader.
