DESCRIPTION

We Heal Together is a virtual sanctuary for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color seeking collective healing, restoration, and empowerment. This group acknowledges the unique cultural narratives, intergenerational traumas, and systemic challenges that shape our mental health journeys.

In this space, we center our shared experiences, honor our ancestral strengths, and cultivate resilience through culturally affirming practices. Guided by a licensed therapist attuned to the nuances of our identities, each session offers a blend of reflective dialogue, skill-building, and communal support.

Together, we dismantle stigmas, embrace our multifaceted identities, and foster a sense of belonging. Because in unity, We Heal Together.

Community Guidelines

  1. Confidentiality is Sacred
All shared experiences remain within the group. This commitment fosters a safe space for open and honest dialogue.
  2. Honor Each Voice
Every member's story is valid. Listen actively and speak from personal experience, using "I" statements to share insights.
  3. Cultural Sensitivity and Respect
Acknowledge and respect the diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences within the group. Avoid assumptions and approach each interaction with cultural humility.
  4. Trauma-Informed Engagement
Recognize that trauma manifests differently for everyone. Refrain from graphic descriptions and be mindful of potential triggers.
  5. Shared Space and Time
Ensure equitable participation by being concise and allowing space for others to contribute.
  6. Voluntary Participation
Sharing is encouraged but not mandatory. Members may choose to pass or share at their comfort level.
  7. Non-Judgmental Support
Approach each member's journey with empathy and without judgment. Offer support without unsolicited advice.
  8. Commitment to the Group
Regular attendance supports group cohesion. If unable to attend, please inform the facilitator in advance.
  9. Substance-Free Environment
Attend sessions free from the influence of substances to maintain a clear and supportive atmosphere.
  10. Feedback and Growth
Open communication is vital. Share feedback constructively and receive it with an open heart, fostering mutual growth.
