Overcoming Parental Wounds

    DESCRIPTION

Overcoming Parental Wounds is a four-week group that explores the profound impact of parental conflicts, injuries, and issues within the parent-child relationship. This group provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals who have experienced trauma in their relationship with their parents.

The journey of healing from parental wounds is a deeply personal and transformative process. Participants in this group will be able to delve into the complexities of the parent-child relationship and gain a deeper understanding of how these wounds have affected various aspects of their lives. By examining the intricate dynamics of the parent-child relationship, we aim to shed light on the emotional, psychological, and even physical consequences that can emerge from such trauma.

Couples and Family Therapist Mellisa Gooden LMFT, LMHC, will guide participants through therapeutic discussions and reflective activities throughout the four weeks. We will explore practical strategies and tools to navigate the healing process, fostering growth, resilience, and self-compassion. Topics include:

    • Understanding Parental Wounds/ General occurrences
    • Unpacking the Parent-Child Relationship/Causes
    • Healing Strategies and Self-Care
    • Rebuilding and Moving Forward

This group offers a space where individuals can find solace, validation, and understanding. We aim to empower participants to reclaim their narratives, foster self-love, and embrace the possibility of healthier, more fulfilling relationships. Whether you are actively dealing with unresolved parent-child conflicts or seeking closure from past wounds,  Overcoming Parental Wounds welcomes you.
