Empowered Parenting

Welcome to Empowered Parenting! Empowered Parents is a support group where parents can learn and put into practice methods for being present and connected with their kids. This group is a safe environment where parents may interact with others, acquire tools, and acquire information to empower parents via shared knowledge and experience. To navigate the trials of parenting with courage and grace, parents will benefit by developing their resilience.

Every child or teen is unique, and every parent has memorable experiences with their child. I'm a Child & Family Psychologist with seven years of experience working with parents, children, teens, and teachers. I guide parents and assist teachers with classroom management.

Community Guidelines

This group is a safe space for all members. By joining this group, you agree to the following:

• Treat other members with respect and civility (including those you disagree with). There will be no tolerance for no personal remarks, bullying, flaming, racism, sexism, criticism, or homophobic comments in the group or sessions.
• No abusive or offensive language. Notify the Support Group Leader or MentalHappy if another member is harassing you or other members.
• Members have one chance if they violate the rules, and after that, the person will be removed from the group.
• Use *Trigger Warning* at the beginning of posts that may be upsetting or harmful for other members to read. Pro-tip: if you think the post might be triggering, it probably is!
• Tag the Support Group Leader on peer message threads needing expert guidance to ensure members get the appropriate advice.
• If you have any queries or doubts, ask questions and be active. We are there for you.
