Community Guidelines

Purpose of the Group

This group is designed to provide a structured, supportive space for men to develop emotional awareness, improve communication, and build practical skills for managing stress and reactions.

1️Confidentiality (Non-Negotiable) What is shared in the group stays in the group.

Do not share names, stories, or identifying details outside of sessions

This creates a space where everyone can speak openly and honestly

2️ Respect & Non-Judgment

Everyone’s experience is valid

No interrupting, criticizing, or minimizing others

Different perspectives are welcome, but respect is required

3️Participation Expectations

You are encouraged to actively participate, but you will never be forced to share

Growth happens through engagement, not just listening

Be open to trying new skills and perspectives

4️No Advice-Giving Without Permission

Avoid jumping in to “fix” or solve someone else’s problem

Instead:

Listen

Reflect

Ask if they want feedback

This keeps the group from becoming reactive or surface-level

5️ Accountability & Consistency

Attend sessions on time

Notify in advance if you will miss a session

Consistency is key to getting results from the group

6️Emotional Safety

This is a space for honest expression, not aggression

No yelling, threatening, or hostile behavior

Strong emotions are welcome — unsafe behavior is not

7️Substance Use

Do not attend sessions under the influence of drugs or alcohol

This ensures everyone can participate safely and effectively

8️Technology & Privacy

Join from a private, quiet space when possible

Use headphones if needed

Keep camera on if you are able (encouraged for connection)

9️Scope of the Group

This group is skills-based and supportive, not crisis care

If you are in crisis, please seek immediate support outside the group

10 Commitment to Growth

This group works best when you:

Show up consistently

Stay open, even when it’s uncomfortable

Practice skills between sessions
